I found out that you can make rice as good as 'Chinese restaurant' rice at home. All you need is a rice steamer and basmati rice. Basmati is a kind of rice, not a brand name. It comes out ok with tap water, or you can use filtered water for extra pure <...>

  • I think the name Mr. tea is hilarious, especially since your avatar has a monocle.

  • Yesterday I had a large Quizno’s prime rib sub for lunch, so I decided to be health for dinner. This is what I made:

Salad with Romaine Lettuce, Red Onion, Red Pepper, Clementine, and Chicken
Chicken pan fried in Olive Oil and Clementine juice
Dressing made from Olive Oil, Red Wine Vinegar, Clementine Juice, Freshly Ground Black Pepper and Basil

    The Chicken is optional.

  • Ceasar but not Ceasar:
Instead of crispier Romain use Spring Mix. Add some McCormick Salad Toppins’, and a little Sesame Oil. Leave the lemon juice out.

  • I have Gas Again ! I just moved home and remembered that there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a giant wok on a gas stove. :p

O.k., seriously… this is one of my favorite - just BAM forget it’s by Emeril.

  • I had a dessert months ago at Food Matters in Alexandria that was exceptionally good and simple and you can drop the calories by substituting out whole cream ice cream for other options. Grilled pineapple with coconut ice cream. It really hit the spot after dinner. The combination of the warm pineapple and the ice cream was lush, while the dessert remained light. I can’t remember off hand if there was a chocolate sauce that went with it, but if there was it was minimal.
